CAMP ORIENTATION BEGINS SATURDAY, AUGUST 7TH AT 6:OOPM.
THIS IS A FORMAL ORIENTATION AND DRESS ATTIRE IS
REQUIRED!

STUDENTS MUST
HAVE:
Attire:
Dark/black shorts
and white shirts (enough to last 2 whole weeks)
• Hat - MUST HAVE should cover entire top of head and
back of neck - visors are not adequate.
• Tennis/Running shoes only - no skate shoes (shoes
should be comfortable and broken into Note: Shoes are required at all times at camp so you may want to bring two (2) pair.*NO
SANDALS*
Musical Items:
• Instrument,
equipment, and supplies (mouthpieces, reeds-Vandoren, tape, cleaning etc.)
• Show Music (large pages)
in a notebook (plastic pages) and pencils
Personal items:
Deodorant, soap, shampoo, comb, brush, toothbrush & toothpaste, insect repellent,
Kleenex, sanitarysupplies, sunscreen (sport type/ sweat proof 50-85 SPF), protective lip balm, aloe for sunburn, ace bandages,and
contact lens supplies.
• Personal Prescriptions & medications (including Tylenol/Ibuprofen, etc.):
You must keep and administeryour own medicine. All medicines must be in the original labeled bottle.
Misc:
•Back pack to carry your day

• Large personal water bottle with your name on it, strong enough to last all week Hydration.
The purpose of camp is to introduce the students to the style
and techniques of the North Carolina CentralUniversity Marching Sound Machine. This will require physical activity and will
involve being outside inthe sun. Although there is a priority to maximize the time allotted, the main priority is safety and
the well-being of the student. In order to maintain physical stamina, it is mandatory that the students remain properlyhydrated.
Do not attempt to participate without being properly hydrated.
